Hatchet Fish
The Hatchet fish is the latest series to enter my deep sea collection.
Each are embellished with FORTY SIX sparkly lights, known as bioluminescent photophores, which sit at the lower part of the fish, breaking up their forms to prevent them from being targeted by predators looking up from below.
They are painted in the most light catching platinum coloured ink I could find.
They are part of a limited edition series of 200 and each are signed and numbered by the artist.
The whole piece is 12cm x 12cm and they are printed on beautiful handmade lokta paper, with deckled edges,
The listing is for an unframed lino print and the print will be double backed with card and safely packaged in a biodegradable cellophane slip, ready to frame or to give as a gift.
Please remember that this artwork has been lovingly hand printed (by me!) and is not a digital reproduction.
Please note that this is an original design produced by Rosie Lavis and copyright of this work is retained by the artist.
